Dog rescue society’s £50k grant ‘truly amazing’
A BUCKS-based charity dedicated to helping dogs find new homes is celebrating after being given £50,000.
The Chilterns Dog Rescue Society (CDRS) was given the grant by the trustees of Support Adoption for Pets, which is a charity associated with the Pets at Home chain of shops.
The money will be used to help with CDRS’s redevelopment work and provide purpose-built facilities and veterinary examination rooms for the dogs in care with additional needs.
Manager of CDRS Sara Muncke said: “This is truly amazing news for all involved in the society. We would like to thank all our friends and members locally for their on-going interest in our rescue and rehoming work.”
