Dog res­cue so­ci­ety’s £50k grant ‘truly amaz­ing’

A BUCKS-based char­ity ded­i­cated to help­ing dogs find new homes is cel­e­brat­ing af­ter be­ing given £50,000.

The Chilterns Dog Res­cue So­ci­ety (CDRS) was given the grant by the trustees of Sup­port Adop­tion for Pets, which is a char­ity as­so­ci­ated with the Pets at Home chain of shops.

The money will be used to help with CDRS’s re­de­vel­op­ment work and pro­vide pur­pose-built fa­cil­i­ties and vet­eri­nary ex­am­i­na­tion rooms for the dogs in care with ad­di­tional needs.

Man­ager of CDRS Sara Muncke said: “This is truly amaz­ing news for all in­volved in the so­ci­ety. We would like to thank all our friends and mem­bers lo­cally for their on-go­ing in­ter­est in our res­cue and re­hom­ing work.”
