Putting in work for Masud
PEOPLE gave up some of their free time to lend a hand with a revamp at a care home.
Staff from the local branch of the Post Office did some work at Denham Manor care home, in Hailings Lane, earlier this month.
The group chooses a different charity to support each year.
They opted for Denham Manor because their friend and colleague Masud Haddadi spent time at the care home before his death last year.
Volunteers spent two days with spades in hand, preparing the grounds and carrying out improvements.
The home’s manager, Jayne Muir, said: “The group has worked so hard and we’re very grateful to them for thinking of us.
“Mr Haddadi was a popular resident here and it’s lovely that his friends have recognised the staff in this way.”
