So­lic­i­tor joins board pro­mot­ing sport

A SO­LIC­I­TOR has been ap­pointed to the board of an or­gan­i­sa­tion which pro­motes sport in Bucks,

Diane Yar­row, 34, who works for BP Collins in Ger­rards Cross, has joined Leap, a not-for­profit or­gan­i­sa­tion that en­cour­ages peo­ple to take a more ac­tive life­style through sport.

Ms Yar­row is a cox for Up­per Thames Row­ing Club and won the Hen­ley Women’s Regatta and the Bri­tish Row­ing Cham­pi­onships.

She said: “As a keen sportswoman, I know the ben­e­fits that come from be­ing able to get out and about. The Leap team al­ready do a fan­tas­tic job and it’s a great hon­our to be join­ing them as a mem­ber and am­bas­sador.”

Leap pro­motes sport via a step-by-step guide to a more ac­tive life­style and of­fers sup­port and fund­ing to clubs through the Sporti­vate pro­gramme, and runs sports con­fer­ences in pri­mary schools.

Chair­man of the Leap board Roger Fen­nemore said: “We are de­lighted to have Diane on board. Diane will com­ple­ment the ex­ist­ing skill set we have as we strive to achieve our tar­get of get­ting 50,000 peo­ple more ac­tive by 2017.”
