Audience enjoys a sing-along

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - FIRST WORLD WAR CENTENARY -

A FIRST World War commemoration concert had around 500 people singing along and was the ‘best event’ ever seen in the Amersham memorial gardens.

Amersham Band performed for the town council event on Sunday, playing music associated with the war.

Organiser Steve Catanach said: “The gardens were heaving, everyone was waving their flags and singing along.

“It was the best event we have ever had in the memorial gardens. People really enjoyed themselves.”

Band manager Caroline Perkins added: “It went very well. There were three sets of music and then a sing-along.”
