Chance to show off your pooch

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

OWNERS can show off their beloved pets when a village holds a dog show at the weekend.

The Gerrards Cross Dog Show organised by the Gerrards Cross Community Association will take place at the Memorial Centre, in East Common on Sunday.

Suzie Bower, one of the show’s organisers, said: “There will be lots of different categories for dogs to compete in, some will be serious, and some silly, such as dogs who look most like their owners, and things like that.”

There will be a barbecue, face painting, a bouncy castle, raffle and demonstrations from Samurai Fitness and Scottish Dancing groups.

The event has been sponsored by local businesses.

Mrs Bower added: “We ran the event two years ago and it went well, so we’re hoping that this time it’s even more popular.”

The event starts at 12pm, with the dog show taking place from 1pm to 3pm.

Entrance is £1 for adults. Children free.
