Sights and sounds of times past
PEOPLE got a glimpse of the past during a weekend of events with a 19th-century theme.
On Saturday and Sunday, Chiltern Open Air Museum took visitors back in time to the days of Queen Victoria and Charles Dickens with its Living History event.
People were able to talk to 19th-century ‘villagers’, including farm labourers, pedlars, a toll keeper and a school mistress, and watch a gamekeeper working with his hawk.
There was a also a display of military techniques and a series of family fun activities.
