WAS lucky we celebrated Ellie’s first birthday early, on a sun-filled day, as the summer appears to have come to an abrupt end with temperatures peaking at 15 degrees some days and torrential rain on the bank holiday.
I’m a great fan of autumn though, and am thoroughly enjoying shopping for Ellie’s 12–18 month winter wardrobe (far less guiltmaking than shopping for myself!).
The early summer and late rain has brought on an abundance of our late summer and winter squashes ch we are selling through the p. love cooking butternut squash I find it such a pain to peel.
