Hol­i­day fun for the grown ups

OLDER peo­ple have been so­cial­is­ing over games and mu­sic in a sum­mer club.

Prest­wood Methodist Church, in High Street, has hosted its weekly Hol­i­day Club dur­ing Au­gust with the fi­nal ses­sion held last Thurs­day.

The ini­tia­tive was or­gan­ised by mem­bers of Holy Trin­ity and the Methodist Church in Prest­wood and Lit­tle King­shill Bap­tist Church.

Vis­i­tors took part in quizzes, craft work, jig­saws, cross­words and other ac­tiv­i­ties as well as meet­ing old and new friends.

Holy Trin­ity spokes­woman Mary Wiles said: “The hot lunch served each day was a high­light, as were the lovely cakes served with tea at the end of the day.”

En­ter­tain­ment was pro­vided by gui­tar player Rev­erend Colin Vey­sey and The Panda Play­ers from Che­sham.
