Last chance to enter charity golf event
GOLFERS are encouraged to raise money through a charity event for a little boy who suffers from muscular dystrophy.
The parents of Archie Hill, eight, a pupil at Chalfont St Peter Infant School who was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy at the age of four, have organised a golf tournament tomorrow (Friday).
It takes place at Moor Park Golf Club in Rickmansworth, from 9.30am. Tickets cost £440 for a team of four. There will be an auction, dinner, a singer and a raffle.
Archie’s mum, Louisa Hill, of Nortoft Road, Chalfont St Peter, said: “My husband Gary and I will keep on fundraising for the Duchenne Research Breakthrough Fund because together we will make a difference.
“Last year was the fourth time we held this event and it went exceptionally well. We have raised in excess of £60,000 over the last four years, this is thanks to local and national companies kindly donating prizes.”
