Last chance to en­ter char­ity golf event

GOLFERS are en­cour­aged to raise money through a char­ity event for a lit­tle boy who suf­fers from mus­cu­lar dys­tro­phy.

The par­ents of Archie Hill, eight, a pupil at Chal­font St Peter In­fant School who was di­ag­nosed with Duchenne mus­cu­lar dys­tro­phy at the age of four, have or­gan­ised a golf tour­na­ment to­mor­row (Fri­day).

It takes place at Moor Park Golf Club in Rick­mansworth, from 9.30am. Tick­ets cost £440 for a team of four. There will be an auc­tion, din­ner, a singer and a raf­fle.

Archie’s mum, Louisa Hill, of Nortoft Road, Chal­font St Peter, said: “My hus­band Gary and I will keep on fundrais­ing for the Duchenne Re­search Break­through Fund be­cause to­gether we will make a dif­fer­ence.

“Last year was the fourth time we held this event and it went ex­cep­tion­ally well. We have raised in ex­cess of £60,000 over the last four years, this is thanks to lo­cal and na­tional com­pa­nies kindly donat­ing prizes.”
