Busi­ness­man joins Clegg abroad

A BUCKS busi­ness­man joined Nick Clegg on a trade visit to In­dia.

Man­ag­ing di­rec­tor of Amer­sham-based The En­ter­tainer, Dun­can Grant, joined the deputy prime min­is­ter for his jour­ney abroad.

Speak­ing be­fore the trip, Mr Grant said: “We are look­ing for­ward to this im­por­tant visit to In­dia and I’m very keen to follow up on dis­cus­sions we have al­ready been hav­ing with po­ten­tial In­dian part­ners and to hope­fully se­cure a deal.

“Our key ob­jec­tive will be to find a fran­chise part­ner who can help us break into the lu­cra­tive In­dian re­tail mar­ket.”

Dun­can is the son of Gary Grant, who founded The En­ter­tainer in Amer­sham in 1981. The shop now has 90 stores across the UK and opened its first in­ter­na­tional store, in Dubai, in De­cem­ber last year.
