Thief tricks motorist and steals utility belt

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

A THIEF duped a motorist into believing his lights were broken in a ploy to steal the driver’s tools.

A red transit van followed the victim’s vehicle from Paccar Scout Camp in Denham Lane, Chalfont St Peter, between 9pm and 10pm on Saturday, August 23.

The driver of the red van indicated the other vehicle to pull over and said that the rear brake light was not working.

The driver went to the back of the victim’s vehicle and during the conversation stole a utility belt which was left hanging on the back of the vehicle. It contained a mobile phone and money.

Call PCSO Jennifer Shraga on 101 if you have any information.
