Have your say about provision and quality of urgent care services

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

IN THE wake of the debate about the closure and relocation of some services at Wycombe Hospital, a watchdog is seeking people’s experiences of urgent care services.

Patients have been raising concerns about A&E services, awareness of which service to use when GP surgeries are closed, and the quality and performance of these services.

Healthwatch Bucks, the new consumer champion for health and social care in the county, has set up an online survey to gather information about visits to A&E, using the NHS 111 service or GP out-of-hours services, and using urgent care services, including the Minor Illness and Injuries Unit at Wycombe Hospital, during the past year.

Family members, friends or carers can complete the survey on behalf of a patient who themselves.

The responses will enable Healthwatch to assess issues and trends. It will then pass on its findings to decision-makers.
