TWO Chesham Prep School old boys have been making a name for themselves with the U18s academy at rugby giants Saracens.

Tom Fitch and Ted Stanford (pictured) have been training twice a week throughout the summer alongside the first team and were both selected to represent their club in the RFU U18 Academy Festival in Bristol.

Saracens won all three games, against Gloucester, Bristol and Exeter, and both Chesham lads scored points, with Fitch kicking flawlessly and Stanford scoring a try against Exeter.

Fitch, now at Berkhamsted School, plays his club rugby at Amersham & Chiltern, while Stanford, who is at St Columba’s College, also plays for Saracens Amateurs.

Head teacher Mike Davies said: “It seems only a short time since they both played together in the U10s at Chesham Prep School and Ted was our head boy.”
