Marksmen’s fundraising target
KEEN marksmen shot clay pigeons for charity in a community gathering on Sunday.
The Rotary Club of Jordans and District and The Rushington Gun and Rod Club ointly presented the event in Chalfont St Giles.
People took part in the clay pigeon shoot and enjoyed a barbecue at Bottom House Farm Lane, with all proceeds going to The Cure Parkinson’s Trust.
Rushington member Dave Kirby involved the trust. He is also a member of business group Business Network International (BNI) Chiltern Chapter which nominated the trust as its chosen charity.
Co-founder and president of the charity, Tom Isaacs, said: “The support from the BNI for The Cure Parkinson’s Trust has been phenomenal.
“Our quest is very simple, to find new treatments to slow, halt or reverse Parkinson’s within five years, and the BNI is helping us move towards a cure by helping us raise much needed funds, and all important awareness, through its networking activities.”
