Homecoming show for singer/ actor Lee Bright
AN ACTOR will perform a show with a string of world class musical hits in his home theatre.
Lee Bright is returning to the Elgiva theatre in Chesham on October 3 as one of the seven main singers in the Rogers and Hammerstein Songbook.
The production features an array of songs from musical classics such as; The Sound of Music, South Pacific, The King and I, Carousel and Oklahoma. The show aims to celebrate the golden age of musical theatre.
Lee, 36, said: “I am very excited as I get to walk to work and it is a fantastic theatre.
“The show has got loads of old songs, a lot of people will know the songs. It is very unusual to see all of the musical songs all in one show but we have got the rights. It is very lucky for audiences to see anything like this anywhere in the world.”
Lee first performed in the theatre five years ago and after meeting his wife, who was the choreographer for the pantomime he was in, decided to make the town his home.
Since then, he has performed Snow White, Robin Hood and The Wizard of Oz at the theatre. He also teaches acting
