Pooches step into the lime­light at show

OWN­ERS showed off their prized pooches at a vil­lage dog show at the week­end, writes Jack Abell. The Ger­rards Cross Dog Show, or­gan­ised by the vil­lage’s com­mu­nity as­so­ci­a­tion, took place at the Memo­rial Cen­tre in East Common on Sun­day.

Peo­ple were able to en­ter their dogs into a va­ri­ety of dif­fer­ent cat­e­gories, with prizes handed out later in the day. There were also a host of other attractions in­clud­ing a bouncy cas­tle, face paint­ing and a raf­fle.
