JUMBLE TRAIL: It’s bargains time round and about
BARGAIN hunters flocked to a village for its ‘jumble trail’ on Sunday.
People set up stalls outside their homes in Chalfont St Peter and sold toys, clothes, furniture, homegrown vegetables, cakes and general bric-a-brac.
Organiser Vicky Royal, 46, of Grove End, said: “We ended up with 21 stalls which was brilliant, we were really pleased with that.
“Some of the stalls made quite a lot of money and it was a good fun event. A few people said they had met neighbours who they had never managed to have conversations with before.”
Mrs Royal says she wants to make the sale an annual event and wants to attract more buyers and sellers.
Stalls included baby and children’s items, in Gold Hill West, and designer brands and nursery furniture, in Leachcroft.
Shoppers used an online map to guide them to participating houses.
