Vote for char­ity to get £3,000 cash boost

MEM­BERS of the pub­lic can help a hospice se­cure a £3,000 grant by vot­ing for it.

Buck­ing­hamshire-based Ren­nie Grove Hospice Care is bid­ding to win the money from the Lloyds Bank Com­mu­nity Fund.

The char­ity is guar­an­teed at least £500, but if it gains enough pub­lic votes the amount would in­crease by another £2,500.

The money would al­low the char­ity to buy three new sy­ringe driv­ers, which al­low nurses to ad­min­is­ter a con­tin­u­ous dose of pain re­lief to pa­tients.

Vot­ing ends on Oc­to­ber 10, and peo­ple can cast their vote on­line, on Twit­ter or by text.
