Vital part missing from Henry tribute

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - OPINION -

I WAS pleased to see the article on Henry Wilson on page two of the Advertiser last week but disappointed to find that, although his many other activities in Beaconsfield were mentioned, his involvement in the Beaconsfield Independents was not.

He was first elected to the Town Council as an Independent in 1991 and after a period off he was elected again in 2003 until 2011.

He became our treasurer in 2005 and served in this capacity until his death on September 3, 2014. He believed passionately in the need for local politics to be local and not influenced by national party politics and was deeply disturbed by the recent tendency in our council for the latter direction.
