“For an iso­lated per­son, re­ceiv­ing a vol­un­teer be­friends can be their sal­va­tion.

Char­i­ties in Bucks look­ing for vol­un­teers in­clude Age UK, the Alzheimer’s So­ci­ety, Buck­ing­hamshire Mind and Brom­ford Float­ing Support.

Roles in­clude chat­ting and spend­ing time with the peo­ple looked after by the char­i­ties, go­ing on day trips with them and of­fer­ing support and help when needed.

Com­mu­nity Im­pact Bucks is look­ing for any­one who can spare an hour or two on a weekly or fort­nightly ba­sis, who feel they can make a dif­fer­ence to some­one’s life .
