Swim team is fastest in country at charity event
FOUR talented young swimmers have shown their skills by being ranked as the fastest team at a charity event.
The Chalfont Otters team, comprised of Angus Guironnet, James Aldred, Luke Maloney and Sam Phippen, all aged 14 and 15, took part in the Swim Britain event on Saturday, at the London Aquatic Centre in the Olympic Park.
The event was held to promote swimming as a healthy activity, and was attended by Swim Britain ambassador David Walliams as well as former Olympian Duncan Goodhew.
The boys took part in four relays of 250m each, and were eventually ranked the fastest with a total swimming time of 55mins 39secs.
Afterwards the boys met Mr Walliams and took a ‘selfie’ photo with him.
Chalfont Otters are based at Chalfont Leisure Centre in Chalfont St Peter, and Amersham Pool.
