Swim team is fastest in coun­try at char­ity event

FOUR tal­ented young swim­mers have shown their skills by be­ing ranked as the fastest team at a char­ity event.

The Chal­font Ot­ters team, com­prised of An­gus Guiron­net, James Al­dred, Luke Maloney and Sam Phip­pen, all aged 14 and 15, took part in the Swim Bri­tain event on Satur­day, at the London Aquatic Cen­tre in the Olympic Park.

The event was held to pro­mote swimming as a healthy ac­tiv­ity, and was at­tended by Swim Bri­tain am­bas­sador David Wal­liams as well as for­mer Olympian Dun­can Good­hew.

The boys took part in four re­lays of 250m each, and were even­tu­ally ranked the fastest with a to­tal swimming time of 55mins 39secs.

Af­ter­wards the boys met Mr Wal­liams and took a ‘selfie’ photo with him.

Chal­font Ot­ters are based at Chal­font Leisure Cen­tre in Chal­font St Peter, and Amer­sham Pool.
