Help for film industry
AN MP championed a bill earlier this month to encourage filming in Bucks.
MP for Chesham and Amersham Cheryl Gillan promoted a private bill in the House of Commons on September 9
The Buckinghamshire County Council (Filming on Highways) Bill is a private bill intended to encourage the film industry to make more films in Buckinghamshire.
It covers television and adverts as well as movies.
Mrs Gillan said: “Buckinghamshire is a great home for the creative arts and filmmaking is one of our flourishing industries.
“I hope that this private bill will enable more films to be made in our county, which will boost employment and the local economy.”
