Help for film in­dus­try

AN MP cham­pi­oned a bill ear­lier this month to en­cour­age film­ing in Bucks.

MP for Che­sham and Amer­sham Ch­eryl Gil­lan pro­moted a pri­vate bill in the House of Com­mons on Septem­ber 9

The Buck­ing­hamshire County Coun­cil (Film­ing on High­ways) Bill is a pri­vate bill in­tended to en­cour­age the film in­dus­try to make more films in Buck­ing­hamshire.

It cov­ers tele­vi­sion and ad­verts as well as movies.

Mrs Gil­lan said: “Buck­ing­hamshire is a great home for the cre­ative arts and film­mak­ing is one of our flour­ish­ing in­dus­tries.

“I hope that this pri­vate bill will en­able more films to be made in our county, which will boost em­ploy­ment and the lo­cal econ­omy.”
