TV per­son­al­ity re­opens pharmacy

A TELE­VI­SION star and for­mer Strictly Come Danc­ing con­tes­tant has of­fi­cially re­opened a pharmacy.

Johnny Ball opened Lloyds Pharmacy, in The Broad­way, Farn­ham Common, on Fri­day last week.

Mr Ball, fa­mous for Think of a Num­ber, Think Back­wards and Johnny Ball Re­veals All, and who is pre­sen­ter Zoe Ball’s fa­ther, cut the rib­bon at the new-look chemist.

The Farn­ham Common store is the lat­est of more than 250 Lloyds Pharmacy stores across the UK to un­dergo the trans­for­ma­tion and will now of­fer en­hanced ser­vices for a range of con­di­tions, in­clud­ing skin health and pain man­age­ment.

Su­per­viser Michelle Bew­ley, who is also a singer, per­formed at the cer­e­mony and the team col­lected for the company’s cho­sen char­ity, Car­ers UK.

Per­min­der De­gun, pharmacy man­ager and phar­ma­cist, said: “We are ex­cited by our trans­for­ma­tion and hope peo­ple will feel more at ease talk­ing to us about their con­cerns.

“We want to help lo­cal peo­ple to dis­cuss their health prob­lems and in re­turn of­fer them the support they need and de­serve in our new and re­laxed sur­round­ings.”
