Win despite missing regular keeper

Magpies pull off a shock with midfielder’s crucial saves

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - SPORT -

Eldorado thanks to first half strikes from Thomas Burgin, Leo Smith and man of the match Jean Ngody.

The second half saw Eldorado fight back with goals from Stuart Hawkes and Kieran Webb setting up a nervy finish until Joel Brakespear netted with a couple of minutes to go to secure a 4-2 victory.

Meanwhile, Andy Viney’s two goals proved the difference as they ran out winners at Magpies 91.

In Division One there were also two away wins as Maclay toppled Anchor (Tring) and Queens Head won the points at Pioneer Reserves.

Maclay now seemed to have settled to life in the Chesham Sunday League and goals from Yusef Seodi (2), Rob Prunty and Matt Pearson suggests a successful debut season is on the cards.

Queens Head have also started their campaign well and underlined a possible challenge with three points at Pioneer Reserves to go top.

Goals from Graham Cobb, Peter Jobes and Dan Benning proved enough with Andy Caple on targetg with Pioneer’s reply.
