Panto stars raring to go

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - ON SHOW -

THIS year’s sparkling pantomime at Aylesbury Waterside is Cinderella, starring Suzanne Shaw as Fairy Godmother and Russell Grant returning as Baron Hardup.

They are joined by Aylesbury’s Andy Collins as Buttons, Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Andrew Derbyshire as Prince Charming and singer/songwriter Holly Brewer in the title role.

Russell says: “Returning to Aylesbury is like Christmas has come early!

had such a fabulous time in Peter Pan two years ago that when I was offered the chance to return, I jumped at it. The town’s great, the theatre is gorgeous and the audiences were in a league of their own – a real blast to play to. I can’t wait!”

Back on a mission to get audiences rolling around the aisles is Andy, in his third panto in his home town.

Holly is also excited to be returning to Aylesbury, where she played the role of Sleeping Beauty last year.

Having spent a lot of time in the studio lately, Holly is keen to be back on stage performing to live audiences.

“Playing the role of Cinderella

Iis every little girl’s dream and I cannot wait,” she says.

With glittering costumes, bags of audience participation and ponies (yes, real ones), this sparkling rags to riches story sees Cinders transformed from a maid to the belle of the ball.

The pantomime runs from Friday, December 12 until Sunday, January 4.
