Pair face firearms and drug pos­ses­sion charges

TWO men have been charged with pos­ses­sion of firearms and am­mu­ni­tion with­out cer­tifi­cates and pos­ses­sion of cannabis with in­tent to sup­ply.

Alex Hayes, 22, of Nar­cot Lane, Chal­font St Giles, and Lewis For­est, 19, of White Lion Road, Lit­tle Chal­font, will ap­pear in Ayles­bury Crown Court on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 17.

Hayes was also charged with pos­ses­sion of a sawn-off shot­gun.

Court­ney McDer­mott, 22, also of White Lion Road, was charged with as­sist­ing For­est in con­nec­tion with the crimes be­tween July 18 and July 25 this year. She will ap­pear at Ayles­bury Crown Court on Mon­day, Oc­to­ber 6.

The charges follow a war­rant car­ried out by Thames Val­ley Po­lice on July 17, in Nar­cot Road, Chal­font St Giles.

Two firearms, am­mu­ni­tion and drugs were re­cov­ered from the prop­erty. Firearms of­fi­cers also at­tended a prop­erty on the same day in Grove Hill, Chal­font St Peter, in con­nec­tion with the op­er­a­tion.
