School Aid in need of help

HEDGER­LEY: School Aid, a char­ity which col­lects, packs, and ships un­wanted school books and equip­ment to chil­dren in Africa is now open five days a week, from Mon­day to Fri­day, and is also look­ing for more vol­un­teers.

Peo­ple can choose from all day, 10am to 1pm or mid­day to 3pm to help sort books at the char­ity’s base in Ham­mer and Harp Farm, Wapseys Lane.

Jim Gra­ham, who led Gold Hill Bap­tist Church, in Chal­font St Peter, from 1968 un­til 1995, will give the talk.

It will go ahead at the church, in Ox­ford Road, on Mon­day, Oc­to­ber 6 from 10.30am un­til 11.45am.
