More purposeful stance
OPEN minds at Audi have been applied to the classic open-top two-seater sports car, and the all-new TT Roadster brings its contemporary perspective on the time-honoured theme to next month’s Mondial de l’Automobile in Paris.
The new high-performance convertible is due in the UK in good time for spring 2015, and can be ordered from mid-November, from £31,955 OTR. The flat and taut top of the new TT Roadster and the TTS Roadster provides a clear contrast with the body and is defined by the short side window design that is typical of the TT Roadster.
At the rear, the standard LED lights are permanently illuminated. The third brake light connects the light silhouette at the rear. At speeds over 74mph a spoiler is extended from the luggage compartment lid to provide more downforce on the rear axle. The sleek new body can be painted in a range of 10 colours. can do so at up to 31mph. While opening, the top forms a Z shape as it folds flat into its aluminium tray. The closed top is taut at high speeds.
