GER­RARDS Cross Golf Club cham­pion Dan Mes­sias this week added the Pres­i­dents’ Prize Four­somes Cup, with fa­ther Roger, to the Bucks Ad­ver­tiser Cup he won last week.

Mean­while, Joan Mar­shall was cel­e­brat­ing a dou­ble suc­cess too, land­ing both the Au­tumn Cup (74 points) and Af­ter­noon Four­somes, the lat­ter with Sheilah Whitwell (26 points) – just ahead of Hi­lary McMul­lan and Joan Simp­son (24) and Liz Keens and Julie Kinchin (23). Another dou­ble win­ner was Mar­i­lyn Evans, who recorded near­est to the pin in the Af­ter­noon Four­somes and long­est drive in Di­vi­sion Three, while other long­est drives were recorded by Gil­lian Kin­n­ear (Di­vi­sion One) and Mary Tay­lor (Di­vi­sion Two). In the Morn­ing Sta­ble­ford, Lynn Moody (39) won Di­vi­sion One ahead of Keens, Ca­tri­ona Porter and An­drea Van­ner (all 35), while Jen­nifer Locke (41) tri­umphed in Di­vi­sion Two ahead of Caro­line Ring­well (40) and Mar­shall, and Anne Leah (36) pipped Pa­tri­cia Murphy (32) and Les­ley Cal­houn (31) to the Di­vi­sion Three ti­tle.
