Yvonne’s hole in one
CHESHAM & LEY HILL GC
A CHESHAM golfer bagged a limited-edition BOSS watch after scoring a hole in one during a recent club competition.
Yvonne Elizabeth, 77, scored her ace on the 96-yard, par-three 12th at Chesham & Ley Hill GC and the 36-handicapper was rewarded with a specially-commissioned commemorative timepiece. The luxury German brand is rewarding club golfers with an exclusive watch for every hole-in-one recorded during a club competition in 2014.
The scheme is open to any golfer whose club uses HowDidiDo, a freeto-use web-based social network for golfers – and anybody playing in official club competitions is eligible.
Frances Miller (pictured) was the winner of Chesham & Ley Hill Golf Club’s Ladies Autumn Meeting 18 hole Stableford.
Miller finished on 37 points, which placed her ahead of Annette Roe in second (33) and Marilyn Carter in third (32).
Miller, Carter and Roe then teamed up to win the 3 Ball Better Ball competition with 38 points, finishing just ahead of Kay Day, Val Merrett and Margaret Planken-Bichler with 35.
