Betsy and Patti in tune with Parkinson’s drive
Singer and electric car are poised to visit businesses
A SINGER and actress will make a whistle-stop tour of Bucks in an electric Smart car called Betsy – and businesses can sponsor her to pay a visit.
Universal Care, an agency which provides home care in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire, is inviting businesses to pledge £100 to its Parkinson’s fundraising campaign in exchange for a visit from acclaimed singer and actress Patti Boulaye.
She will travel around South Buckinghamshire on November 18 to mark the first anniversary of Universal Care getting the keys to the environmentally friendly car and to raise money and awareness of the progressive neurological condition.
Chairman of Universal Care Peter Cullimore said: Smart car Betsy “At Universal Care we help to look after many clients who are Parkinson’s sufferers and I realise how difficult life can be for many of them.
“This celebration Betsy’s birthday with of the help of Patti Boulaye will be our small effort to help them. The money we raise will be split between ParkinsonsUK to help them with their research and the local group which provides practical support.”
You can also get involved in Universal Care’s fundraiser either by making a donation through its JustGiving page, or by entering a competition.
The care agency will fill Betsy full of balloons and invite people to guess the number in there. The prize will be five tickets to see a Christmas concert in a second floor box at the Royal Albert Hall.
For your chance to win, visit Universal Care’s offices in Windsor End, Beaconsfield, between 10am and noon on Saturday, October 25.
Any businesses interested in sponsoring a visit from Patti Boulaye and Betsy should call Peter Cullimore on 01494 678 811 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Visit justgiving.com/ Universal-Care to make a donation.
