Voices in har­mony for spe­cial con­cert

TWO choirs from a Bucks vil­lage will come to­gether for a cel­e­bra­tory con­cert to mark a key an­niver­sary.

Vil­lage Voices ladies choir is cel­e­brat­ing 10 years since mu­sic teacher Jane Smith set it up with a small group of moth­ers from Seer Green School.

Since then its num­bers have swelled to 70 and in re­cent years the choir has per­formed in Ire­land, Prague, Bruges and Paris.

The part­ner men’s choir, Seer Green Singers, was set up less than two years ago and num­bers have al­ready grown to 45.

To mark the oc­ca­sion on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 18 the choir is singing a wide range of mu­sic, from clas­si­cal com­posers such as El­gar to pop leg­ends such as Bey­once.

They will per­form their own reper­toires and sing to­gether.

Char­lotte Yeo­man, a lo­cal pro­fes­sional singer, will also per­form.

The an­niver­sary con­cert is at Bar­birolli Hall, St Cle­ment Danes School, Chor­ley­wood, from 7.30pm.

Tick­ets cost £12 in­clud­ing wine.
