Can you help us save more lives?

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - OPINION -

OCTOBER is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Scannappeal is currently fundraising for advanced equipment to radically improve diagnosis of early breast cancer.

Residents living in the county are already benefiting from the new advanced digital equipment Scannappeal has funded for the mobile breast screening unit and at Wycombe Hospital.

I am principal patron of this marvellous local charity, which has provided so much life-saving equipment which would not normally be funded by the NHS.

I hope you will consider helping us raise £200,000 for the final stage of this appeal to add cutting-edge technology with 3D imaging.

The depth of these exceptionally sharp images will assist clinicians in visualising abnormalities and potential tumours and has been proven to increase cancer detection rates by 40 per cent.

Your support would mean that each year more than 20,000 local women will benefit from this equipment and will save lives.
