Shae it again
LITTLE Shae Thakker won all of his matches for Denham Village C to extend his 100 per cent record in the Chalfont Table Tennis League this week.
However, his efforts were not enough for his side to claim victory, as the experienced campaigners of Chalfont A emerged 7-3 winners.
They now trail Rickmansworth A, who demolished Chalfont B 9-1, by one point at the top of Division One.
In Division Two, another up and coming junior, 13-year-old Max Pennington, is also hanging on to his 100 per cent record, winning all his matches in Denham Village E’s comfortable 8-2 win over Ickenham URC.
Newcomers Hillingdon recorded the same score against the young girls of Village H, courtesy of maximum points from Tomini Phillips and George Reidy, while fellow newcomers Rickmansworth D lost 6-4 to Village G, thanks to Fanny Speck’s clean sheet.
There was also a welcome return for James Johnson, who combined with his Village D team-mates Scott Thompson and Mick Lowens to whitewash Village F and build an early lead of five points over Hillingdon at the top of the table.
