Treading the boards to raise a few laughs
SERIES of side-splitting comedy shows is planned for a village next week.
Prestwood Theatre Club will perform three plays each night from Thursday, October 23, to Saturday, October 25, at the village hall.
The bill includes Going Going
AGone by Jone Peel, a regular writer for the group.
The domestic comedy tells of a wife hindered from leaving her slob of a husband because of interruptions from her children, including her newly-married daughter
The second play is titled Murder at Nightmare Abbey and written by Mike Hall, Paul Dollemore and Vic Rance.
The writers have created an Agatha Christie-style murder mystery at a house party, complete with larger than life characters.
Mr Rance also wrote the final play, The Impresario, which revolves around three producers who have to ace up to the fact their play was a disaster before their boss shows up.
The plays take place at 8pm in Prestwood Village Hall in Wycombe Road on Thursday, October 23, Friday and Saturday.
Tickets cost £8 for Thursday or Friday and £15 for Saturday, ncluding food.
