Tread­ing the boards to raise a few laughs

SE­RIES of side-split­ting com­edy shows is planned for a vil­lage next week.

Prest­wood The­atre Club will per­form three plays each night from Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 23, to Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 25, at the vil­lage hall.

The do­mes­tic com­edy tells of a wife hin­dered from leav­ing her slob of a hus­band be­cause of in­ter­rup­tions from her chil­dren, in­clud­ing her newly-mar­ried daugh­ter

The sec­ond play is ti­tled Mur­der at Night­mare Abbey and writ­ten by Mike Hall, Paul Dolle­more and Vic Rance.

The writ­ers have cre­ated an Agatha Christie-style mur­der mys­tery at a house party, com­plete with larger than life char­ac­ters.

Mr Rance also wrote the fi­nal play, The Im­pre­sario, which re­volves around three pro­duc­ers who have to ace up to the fact their play was a dis­as­ter be­fore their boss shows up.

The plays take place at 8pm in Prest­wood Vil­lage Hall in Wy­combe Road on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 23, Fri­day and Satur­day.

Tick­ets cost £8 for Thurs­day or Fri­day and £15 for Satur­day, nclud­ing food.
