Incentive to join TV star at cycle ride
REGISTRATION has opened for a charity cycle challenge backed by a television celebrity.
Fern Britton, who lives in Buckinghamshire, is supporting the 2015 Rennie Grove Hospice Care Chilterns Cycle Challenge.
Next year’s event will be the fifth and will take place on March 22.
The course starts and finishes in Aylesbury and is suitable for people of all abilities, with a 10km, 35-mile or 75-mile route to choose from.
Last year’s event attracted more than 500 participants and raised around £40,000 for the charity’s nursing and support services for patients with cancer and other illnesses.
People registering before November 30 will receive a discount.
Ruth Proudfoot, events manager at Rennie Grove Hospice Care, said: “This could be a great opportunity to buy a place for someone as a Christmas gift and is the perfect incentive to get fit in the new year.
“We are hoping 2015 will prove even more popular than previous years, so don’t delay; sign up now to guarantee your place.”
