Littler scores winner as youngsters hold firm
>> CHESHAM LADIES
NAOMI Littler bagged the only goal of the game as Chesham Ladies snatched a victory at New Forest LFC on Sunday.
Manager Andy Baker fielded a young team, with just a couple of players aged over 18, but Chesham played the better football, and their back four were well disciplined and stifled most of the Forest attacks.
Chesham piled on the pressure in the second half, but play in the final third is still very much a work in progress for the Bucks team.
However, the deadlock was broken when Laura Barton got hold of a long goal kick and slid in Littler, who finished well.
Over in the Thames Valley Women’s League, Chesham’s actual U18 team picked up an 8-2 victory at AFC Warfield.
Pia Davis helped herself to six goals, while Sophia Lingley and Sarah Jackson grabbed one each.
In the Bucks Girls League, Amy Culloty tucked away a hattrick as the U15s beat Penn & Tylers Green 6-0, with Niamph Euman, Lidia NiedertubbesingLopez and Georgia Howe also on the scoresheet, but the U14s went down by a single goal to Chalfont.
Amelie Baker was another sixgoal hero as the U12s beat Water Eaton 10-2, with Hannah Warren netting a double and Mollie Muncie and Ayesha Milner also on target, while the U10s played at a festival in Aylesbury and won all their matches against Moretonville, Crendon and Chalfont.
Meanwhile, Chesham are still looking for an experienced U15 and senior goalkeeper, plus girls of any ability from school years two to six. Anyone interested should visit www.culfc.co.uk.
