Children can play while you decide what to buy
32B Station Road, Gerrards Cross 01753 893 077 Open Monday-Saturday 9am-5.30pm What is your name and role? Jackie Spring, owner of Puddleduck in Gerrards Cross. What does your shop offer? We sell children’s clothes and shoes from birth to age 14, and shoes for adults with feet up to size six. What are your shop’s specialities? The sit-in service and the wide range of shoes that we offer. We have different types of children’s shoes at different times of the year, so for example in the build-up to the school year starting, we will have lots of plimsolls, and we are now getting in lots of snow boots for the winter months. What do you give to the community?
We try to get involved in lots of village events. I get involved in organising the village Christmas Fun Night, which will be taking place on Wednesday, December 3 this year. We also really welcome children into the shop, so that when their parents bring them in they have somewhere to sit and play, which is a service that not many other children’s clothes shops will offer. What are your best-selling items? We sell lots of Start Rite Shoes, Timberland shoes, and party clothes for girls. How do you find working in Gerrards Cross? We have been here now for 19 years and I love it. I think it’s a really lovely community. There was perhaps a time when people were moving away from using High Street shops, but they have come back. We like to think of ourselves as a
