Top British sprinter sets one-minute challenges
NOlympic athlete got children on their feet when he paid a visit to their school. Last week British sprinter Rion Pierre visited Waterside School in Blackhorse Avenue, Chesham, to take part in a sponsored circuit training exercise.
The event was organised through Sports for Schools, a programme designed to raise money for new equipment.
Children and teachers from all year groups took part in the circuit training, which included jumping jacks and push ups.
The children did each exercise for one minute before moving on to the next.
The challenge was a success with everyone completing their circuit.
The visit was completed with a presentation from Rion, where he shared his experiences and answered questions about his life as a professional sprinter.
He also invited the children to take part in a special challenge – to compete against him.
