Principal drafts in jet-setting daughter for show

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

A TALENTED mother and daughter are getting ready to impress a theatre audience next month.

Stoke Poges’ Dancing School principal, Jean Orchard, has enlisted the help of daughter Annelise to assist her with the choreography for upcoming show Dance Like No One’s Watching.

Annelise has just finished a UK tour in Puttin’ On The Ritz, with Judy Garland’s daughter, Lorna Luft.

The jet-setting daughter did the choreography for Dance Like No One’s Watching, but will not be able to see the fruits of her labours when the red curtain is raised at the Beck Theatre in Middlesex on November 15 and 16.

The night before Jean’s show opens, Annelise flies to China for a threemonth tour with another song and dance spectacular entitled “Hooray For Hollywood” – so will have to wait to watch the show on DVD to see the fruits of her labours.

The shows will feature some of Jean’s 150 pupils, some of whom are the children and grandchildren of Jean’s first pupils who started studying dance when she opened her school in 1981.

Tickets are available from the box office on 020 8561 8371 or via their website: www.becktheatre. org.uk.
