Bousfield drilled home the penalty to secure a 2-0 win which put his side top of the Premier Division.

Current premier champions Pioneer are not having things all their own way in defence of their title, dropping home points to rivals Dinamo Chequers after battling out a six goal stalemate. Andy Viney (2) and JP Jamil netted for Pioneer, but Dan Fletcher (2) and Muddasir Shah ensured parity.

Eldorado and Misty Moon completed the Premier picture and saw the hosts earn a valuable three points at Prestwood, courtesy of a 4-1 success. Moon had Jamie Walker on target again, but Stuart Hawkes, Kieran Webb, Matt Bunting plus an OG proved more than enough for the win.

Division One had four fixtures scheduled, but that was reduced to three after the abandonment of Old Belmont’s home match with SFG Stone.

Pioneer Reserves’ visit to Chesham Athletic was an entertaining seven goal thriller, which they eventually edged thanks to goals from Whitfield, Arnold, Hill and Ford. Athletic, however were always in the hunt and scored via Matt Griggs, Nick Beaver and Jake Collins.

Maclay’s first league visit to Magpies 91 Reserves had a happy ending as they enjoyed a 2-0 victory. Goals from Dean Gavin and Joshua Roberts ensured a third league win of a debut CSL season.

Also successful on their travels were Tring Anchor FC, as they came away from Chiltern Chargers with a 3-0 victory and a welcome boost to their first CSL campaign.

Goals from James Cotterill (2) and Stuart Howe did the damage as they also look to challenge for honours in a promotion race that looks likely to go all the way this time round.
