Vil­lages among those vul­ner­a­ble

A VIL­LAGE has been marked as one of the most vul­ner­a­ble ar­eas in the county for rogue traders.

Vic­tims in Chal­font St Peter have been duped of nearly £50,000 this year, with 18 scam cases re­ported to Trad­ing Stan­dards.

There have been half the num­ber of cases re­ported in Amer­sham how­ever more than £400,000 has been in­volved in the in­ci­dents there.

About £574,000 has been in­volved in re­ported in­ci­dents in South Bucks so far this year. In Chal­font St Peter, Neigh­bour­hood Watch schemes such as the one in Mon­u­ment Lane have been set up to ward off the crim­i­nals.
