Get into the festive spirit and take part in the Santa Dash
OVER the past year your local hospice, The Hospice of St Francis, has cared for just under 2,500 patients with life-shortening illnesses both here in our hospice beds, people’s homes, care homes, as well as at our outpatient facility The Spring Centre.
The Spring Centre offers advice, clinics, workshops and complementary therapy for people who have a diagnosis of a life-shortening illness and is free to access. To find out more visit www.stfrancis.org. uk/springcentre or call 01442 869 550.
The Hospice needs to raise £4.7million each year to fund all our services and we rely on the support of Cheshamites to help us achieve this through fundraising.
This month we want to say a huge thank you to all those people from the town who got filthy for us at our first ever Mud Pack Challenge, especially the team of 22 from OurChesham who collectively raised £8,500!
If you’d like to take part in an event together with your local group and do something to get into the festive spirit, why not enter our next fundraiser, our Santa Dash? We’re looking for Santas to dash, walk or scoot 2.5 miles around Hemel Hempstead on Sunday, December 14, at 10am as part of our seventh annual Hospice Santa Dash! Registration costs £15 for adults, £5 for children and £35 for the whole family, including dogs and includes your Santa costume! Everyone is asked to help raise as much as they can for the Hospice to support us in the run up to Christmas.
Also, think about whether you’d like to learn to dance or diet in the New Year in our Strictly Learn Dancing or Biggest Loser Challenges.
Check out www.stfrancis. org.uk/events for more details.
