Top Masons are chips off the old block
THE Mason family were the biggest winners as Winchmore Hill Cricket Club’s junior members staged their 2014 presentation night on Sunday.
U15 Finn Mason was named top batsman of the year and received a second award for captaincy, while leadership obviously runs in the family as sister Flora received a similar award for skippering the U10s.
Tilly Mason completed a treble for the family by scooping the fielding award.
Brandon Pooler and Alex Rizvi won awards acknowledging their captaincy for the U11s and U13s respectively, while other award winners included: Ben Quick (Bowling), Libby Bakkes (Most Improved Player) and Sam Richmond (Most Promising Player).
Two other youngsters, Alex Lee and Luke Maxwell were honoured for taking hat-tricks.
A host of players were also awarded Bronze Cricket Skill certificates. Take a bow Noah Agnew, Elliot Arbibe, George Chone, Thomas Easterbrook, Kate Finn, Ethan Horne, Nathan Lockwell, Silvie McKenzie, William McKenzie, Alex Moore, Sam Pearson, Jake Scotchbrook and Thomas Threlfall.
