Family fun that goes with a bang
START your weekend with an evening under the stars and an aerial display. Chesham United Football Club, in Amy Lane, has its Fireworks Spectacular event tomorrow (November 7). Doors open at 6pm and the fireworks will start at about 7.30pm. There will also be food stalls and a bar. Tickets are £7 for adults, £5 for under-18s and free for under-fives. A family ticket (two adults, two children) costs £20 – all available in advance from The Chess Suite.
ODDS Farm Park, in Wooburn Common – not far from Junction 2 of the M40 – is open between 10am and 5.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Children can learn about lots of livestock animals and enjoy all sorts of activities, including the play barn, which has slides, tunnels and much more. Adults can relax at the Espresso Bar.
PINEWOOD Studios is screening 5 two films this weekend.
The studios in Iver Heath will be screening Before I Go to Sleep and Pride on Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9.
Before I Go To Sleep is a thriller about a woman involved in a car accident, who has suffered severe memory loss, and does not recognise people around her. It stars Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth Pride features Bill Nighy and Dominic West and is inspired by the true story of gay pride activists in 1984.
Screenings of Before I Go To Sleep are at 2.30pm on Saturday, and at 5pm and 7pm on the Sunday; Pride starts at 4.30pm and 7pm on Saturday, and at 2.30pm on Sunday.
