IVER: Fa­ther Christ­mas will be at Iver Vil­lage Hall to switch on the Christ­mas lights.

The event will take place on Satur­day, Novem­ber 29 from 2pm un­til 5pm, and there will be var­i­ous stalls.

There will also be ac­tiv­i­ties tak­ing place through­out the event for young­sters to en­joy. WORK is un­der way to cre­ate a large ‘re­tire­ment vil­lage’ of 82 apart­ments and cot­tages for the over-65s.

Aud­ley Chal­font Dene is set to open next sum­mer near the site of the Epilepsy So­ci­ety, in Rick­mansworth Lane, Chal­font St Peter.

Aud­ley Re­tire­ment chief ex­ec­u­tive Nick Sanderson and MP for Che­sham and Amer­sham Ch­eryl Gil­lan car­ried out a ground­break­ing cer­e­mony at the site on Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 5.

Mrs Gil­lan said: “I am de­lighted to be part of a new chap­ter for both Chal­font St Peter and Aud­ley as we break ground on this new de­vel­op­ment.

“I’m ex­cited about how this de­vel­op­ment will bring lo­cal job op­por­tu­ni­ties and fur­ther in­vest­ment to the lo­cal com­mu­nity.”

The com­plex will be sim­i­lar to nearby Den­ham Gar­den Vil­lage and will cater for res­i­dents who have vary­ing needs of care.

It will of­fer fa­cil­i­ties such as a swimming pool, gym and restau­rant to the com­mu­nity, as well as to its res­i­dents.
