Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

A COMMUNITY has urged people to visit its Field of Remembrance.

Amersham’s Field of Remembrance has 320, 6ft-high crosses in the field by Shardeloes, near Amersham Cricket Club.

It was created in August to remember those who lost their lives during the First World War.

Amersham Town Council officer Steve Catanach said: “We urge residents to make a special trip to see the Field of Remembrance which is a moving and befitting reminder to the 16 million people who lost their lives in the Great War. The field is looking great but I am amazed by the amount

of residents that are unaware that it exists and we would like them to visit this monument.”
