Dub Pistols gunning for your enjoyment

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - ON SHOW -

THE organisers of a popular summer festival will put on the first of their winter sessions this month.

The people behind BURYFields, which took place in Chesham in June, are ‘super excited’ to announce that this summers’ festival favourites Dub Pistols will be rocking The Elgiva, in St Mary’s Way, on Saturday as part of their nationwide tour to coincide with their new album The Return Of The Pistoleros.

One of the organisers Martin Freeman said: “Those who saw them at the festival will know what to expect and for those that didn’t… it’s going to be mucky!”

Support comes in the form of London indie punk band Hooks whose instantly likeable sound reflects the band’s penchant for catchy hooks and light hearted charisma.

Hooks are an addictive medley of loud drums, fuzzy guitars and ferocious energy.

Opening the evening is Chesham based band LUX, who are an eclectic mix of pop, folk and soul. An acoustic trio with distinctive harmonies and emotive lyrics that creates their own unique style. The evening starts at 7pm. Tickets cost £16 and are available from www.elgiva. com or 01494 582 900 or in person from Waterstones, in High Street, Chesham.
