Classic music set to delight at school
AN ORCHESTRA is set to perform an array of classical music at a school on Saturday.
The Misbourne Symphony Orchestra will perform in Amersham School, Stanley Hill at 7.45pm.
The concert will be Virtuoso Music and Tchaikovsky. It will be conducted by Richard Jacklin.
Butterworth’s Rhapsody A Shropshire Lad will begin the concert, based on his song The loveliest of trees, the Cherry. Then follows Vitali’s Chaconne in G Minor, a famous virtuoso violin piece written in the 18th century, and played by Dora Chatzigeorgiou. orchestra’s four horn players will perform
Konzertstück, which was written in 1849. After the interval, Richard Jacklin will conduct Tchaikovsky’s last symphony, the Pathétique.
