Clas­sic mu­sic set to de­light at school

AN ORCHES­TRA is set to per­form an ar­ray of clas­si­cal mu­sic at a school on Satur­day.

The Mis­bourne Sym­phony Orches­tra will per­form in Amer­sham School, Stan­ley Hill at 7.45pm.

The con­cert will be Vir­tu­oso Mu­sic and Tchaikovsky. It will be con­ducted by Richard Jack­lin.

But­ter­worth’s Rhap­sody A Shrop­shire Lad will be­gin the con­cert, based on his song The loveli­est of trees, the Cherry. Then fol­lows Vi­tali’s Cha­conne in G Mi­nor, a fa­mous vir­tu­oso vi­o­lin piece writ­ten in the 18th cen­tury, and played by Dora Chatzi­ge­or­giou. orches­tra’s four horn play­ers will per­form

Konz­ert­stück, which was writ­ten in 1849. After the in­ter­val, Richard Jack­lin will con­duct Tchaikovsky’s last sym­phony, the Pathé­tique.
