THE SEARCH FOR THE PERFECT PUD
A FINALIST in the Great British Bake Off is teaming up with a village pub to search for the perfect pudding.
Richard Burr, who appeared in the final of the hit television show this year, has joined the Ethorpe in Gerrards Cross to launch the Proof is in the Pudding contest.
Villagers will be able to suggest their ideal dessert which, if chosen, will be added to the menu of Chef and Brewer pubs across the UK.
Entrants will be given the chance to conjure up their dream pudding on the Chef and Brewer website and via its Facebook page.
Mr Burr said: “We are on the lookout for pudding creations that are innovative, original and exciting, something that is going to stand out from the rest and really make you want to try it.”
Brandon Martin, manager at the Ethorpe, said: “We are hoping to find pudding ideas that are both creative and delicious in equal measure, whether it’s an old favourite, a personal speciality or a classic pudding with a modern twist. We can’t wait to see what the Gerrards Cross community come up with.”
Go to www.chefand brewer.com or www. facebook.com/chefand brewer to enter the contest, before Sunday, November 23.
